Gilded Isles is an illustration series inspired by the spirit, culture, and landscapes of Sri Lanka. The project explores the visual stories that shape the island, from ancient heritage and traditional ornamentation to wildlife, nature, and everyday moments found across its shores. Through detailed modern illustration, these elements are reinterpreted into compositions that celebrate the richness and character of the island.Each artwork in the series captures a different piece of Sri Lanka’s identity, transforming familiar cultural symbols and natural beauty into visual narratives. The illustrations are then translated into collectible pieces such as apparel and art prints, allowing people to carry a small part of the island with them. As the series grows, Gilded Isles continues to explore and illustrate the many stories that live within the island.
